Microsoft Word Tip

Did you open up your Microsoft Word document after having worked on it all day and have trouble finding where you ended typing?
As soon as you open up your document, press SHIFT and F5.  This will take you back to your last edit.  In fact, if you press Shift-F5 repeatedly, it will take you through your last four edits. This feature disappeared briefly in version 2007, but is back in version 2010.

Finding Stuff

When you are reading a long page and just looking for a name, you can hold down the CTRL key and hit the letter F. A box will open on the bottom of the screen and you can begin typing the word. It will find and highlight that word on the page. This also works in Microsoft Word documents. If the word is not found, the box will turn pink to let you the word is not on the page.

Microsoft Word Tip

Don't know if you write large documents in Word, but this works even for short documents. The next time you open a document that you have saved, hold down the shift key and press the f5 key. This will take you back to the last spot you typed in the document before it was closed or saved.
