Chuck Norris Belts
Carlos Ray "Chuck" Norris, born
March 10, 1940, is the first Westerner in history to be awarded an
8th degree Black Belt (Grand Master) in Taekwondo. He also has 10th
degree black belt in Chun Kuk Do (he is founder of this school); 9th
degree black belt in Tang Soo Do and BJJ; and brown belts in
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo. In 2005, Norris founded the World
Combat League, a full-contact, team-based martial arts competition.

What's in a Name, Luke Short
This guy from the old west had a stature that matched his last name. Luke started out hunting and trapping in Nebraska, but discovered his skill at gambling when he would regularly clean out his acquaintances on the trail.
Gambling led to gunfights and he was a gambler/gunfighter for the rest of his life. He went to Colorado mining camps, visited the Earp Brothers’ Oriental Saloon in Tombstone, AZ and ended up in Dodge City, KS in the 1880′s. Luke bought an interest in the Long Branch Saloon and during an ongoing feud with a rival saloon owner, Luke’s friends Bat Masterson and Wyatt Earp came to town to help him end it.
Short eventually moved on to Fort Worth, TX and bought the White Elephant gambling hall. He famously gunned fellow gunfighter Long-Haired Jim Courtright when Jim tried to extort protection money from him.
In 1893 Luke sold the White Elephant and moved to Kansas City, MO, where he died in bed the same year at age 39 from an unknown ailment.
Back in the old days, 'seeing the elephant' meant having a great adventure. Also, a 'white elephant' was a worthless investment. In the wild west, white had a racist subtext, because frontier saloons tended to be very segregated. Back then, Fort Worth also had another bar called the Black Elephant.
Finally, the White Elephant bar insides were regularly seen in the Chuck Norris, Texas Rangers series. Elephants are more afraid of Chuck Norris than mice.

Six Great Google Tricks
We all know Google is great for searches, but here are a few tips to make your online life simpler.
If you want to track a USPS, UPS, or FedEx package, no need to go to their site, just type in the tracking code to find out where your package is.
How about that flight? Just type in an airline flight number to get its arrival/departure status.
If you need a quick stock quote, just type in the stock symbol.
Are you looking for a movie? Type in movies followed by your city name.
Wondering if it will rain today? Type in weather followed by your zip code.
Last, don't forget to use the quote marks for names, like "chuck norris" or "liberty bell" to get the whole name.

How Tall is. . .
Jeff Flanagan challenged me to find the height of an actor, and I got carried away. Although there is some discussion on the web, with varying heights (especially for the shortest actors), and I did a bunch of digging and these are the best estimates I can find. The heights listed are without shoe lifts, which many of the men wear.

Chuck Norris
OK, I have a weird sense of humor, but this one tickles me. I actually bumped into him a few weeks ago at the local watering hole. He is taller than I expected.
Shaving is Sexy
According to a recent Schick national research poll, men who shave regularly (5 times a week or more) have twice as much sex (15.5 vs. 7.8 times per month). They're also happier (89% vs. 82%), and more likely to report they are living their dreams (76% vs. 64%). (Of course Chuck Norris is the exception.)
Eighty-two percent of women report a preference for cleanly shaven men and another 83% say it's sexy when a man has a smooth touchable face. Additionally:
* 76% say they love it when their man shaves
* 76% agree a "cleanly shaven man turns me on"
* 64% say when their man shaves, they just can't keep their hands off of him
* 78% would rather kiss a cleanly shaven man than a scruffy man
* 64% would rather have sex with a cleanly shaven man than a scruffy one
Also, according to the survey, women ranked body odor and dandruff the top two biggest turn-offs in a man. I started shaving three times a day and I feel sexier already.
